JOHN R. WHEELER, GEOLOGIST
PRESIDENT


​Mr. Wheeler, Geologist, joined LKA in 2001 and when the company reorganized in 2011 became the firm’s Vice President.  He became the firm's President in 2018.  As President he supervises the administrative activities of the company.  He also coordinates, directs and participates in estimate of oil and gas reserves; appraisals of producing properties for the purpose of financing, acquisition, sale, SEC reporting, etc.; reservoir studies to determine optimum recovery methods or processes; representation of industry and non-industry clients at unitization meetings; presentation of testimony as expert witness before regulatory agencies and in district and federal courts.

Mr. Wheeler has 25+ years of worldwide experience.  He coordinates geological investigations for both domestic and  international clients. He has conducted geologic studies in more than 20 foreign countries and in every major U.S. Petroleum province.  His studies include pipeline feasibility assessments, gas storage fields and waterflood projects, both active and proposed.   He also participates in conducting reserve studies for public and private  oil and gas producing companies, and performs evaluations of oilfield properties  for acquisition, exploitation and development.  He also provides expert witness reports  and testimony as well as being a technical advisor to foreign and domestic companies looking to invest in U.S. oil and gas properties.

PHILLIP W. GRICE, EVALUATION ENGINEER
SECRETARY/TREASURER


Working throughout the United States and Canada, Mr. Grice joined the company in 2005 as a Evaluation Engineer.  Since the reorganization in 2011, Mr. Grice serves as an officer of Lee Keeling and Associates, Inc.  He is instrumental in the preparation of appraisals of oil and gas properties for the purpose of bank financing, acquisitions, SEC reporting, mergers, etc. Reservoir studies, statistical modeling, enhanced recovery studies, expert witness for lawsuits, workover and recompletion reviews and pipeline feasibility studies for both domestic and international clients.

WILLIAM DAVID WOODRUFF, EVALUATION ENGINEER

Mr. Woodruff joined Lee Keeling and Associates in 2008 and has 26 years of varied  industry experience.  His
responsibilities include reservoir studies, statistical modeling, enhanced  recovery studies, expert witness for lawsuits, workover and recompletion reviews  and appraisals of oil and gas properties for the purpose of bank financing,  acquisitions, SEC reporting, mergers, etc. 

Mr. Woodruff’s experience includes time  in Russia,  Canada, and most productive areas of the continental United States. 



B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1985, University of Tulsa, Tulsa Oklahoma. 
Member of the Oklahoma State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (EI 6830)
Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers 
He has volunteered as an Oklahoma State University student engineering project judge. 
He is the inventor of record on US Patent No. 4,636,901 for self-test software on Amoco's proprietary seismic recording system, the SGR III.

GORDON L. ROMINE, P.E.
PRESIDENT EMERITUS


Entering the consulting field in 1958, specializing in petroleum engineering, his previous experience included a wide range of operational and reservoir engineering responsibilities with Lion Oil Company (Monsanto) and Consulting Petroleum Engineer for Keplinger and Wanenmacher. Joining the firm in 1963 as Chief Engineer, Mr. Romine served as President of Lee Keeling and Associates, Inc. from 2011 until his retirement in 2018.  

Mr. Romine's experience includes all productive areas of the United States and Canada, as well as many Latin American countries.

LEE A. KEELING, EVALUATION ENGINEER
FOUNDER 


Mr. Keeling entered the consulting field in 1952, specializing in petroleum engineering and the appraisal of oil and gas properties.  He founded Lee Keeling and Associates, Inc. in 1957.  Under his leadership the firm grew to national and international recognition.

Mr. Keeling's background includes broad experience in the petroleum engineering field, obtained while working for various oil companies and consulting firms.  he has prepared routine and special core analyses, oil and gas analyses and feasibility studies for proposed gas transmission pipelines and gasoline plants.  His work has led him to Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska and the Middle East.

KENNETH RENBERG, EVALUATION ENGINEER
FOUNDER

Mr. Renberg joined the firm in 1959 as Vice President.  He has worked throughout the United States and Canada, as well as in a number of foreign countries.  His vast years of experience include supervising preparation of reserve estimates, appraisals of oil and gas properties, geological investigations and feasibility studies for secondary recovery projects.

Mr. Renberg is also experienced in analysis of reservoir performance and prediction of future reservoir behavior, geological investigations and feasibility studies of thermal, waterflood and pressure maintenance projects.
